I have a child in my class who needs constant attention and it doesn't matter to him if it's positive or negative. If my attention is directed elsewhere for even a couple of minutes, he will either drop something, make a noise, or come up to me and say, "Mrs. Castaneda? Ummmm. I forgot." I have 19 years of teaching experience and I feel like I've tried everything. Nothing works. Suggestions?
