For his final exam, he had one word written at the top of the exam papers, "Why?".
Some wrote for hours, but the student who wrote, "Because" got the A.
The B went to the student who wrote, "Why not?".
I used this story to try to prepare my students for some of the "unique" professors they might have in college/university.
