My 13 year old daughter got suspended from school for a ridi

My 13 year old daughter can be outspoken sometimes. She's witty, smart, cheeky and has great comical timing. On a number of occasions I do tell her to keep her mouth shout when she goes too far. However, most of the time---she's a great and tactful child. Yesterday she got suspended for a "sexual comment" she made. I find that ridiculous and absolutely absurd! the head office has told me everything that has happened and I literally laughed in their face because I don't see how that situation justified a suspension. I want your take on this and whether you side with me?

Apparently my daughter's teacher picked my daughter from the whole class and commented on how nice she looked (it was picture day). And my daughter replied to him by saying, "ooooh yes mr.brown....i know you've been dreaming about me all this time---how would you like me to pose for you?" Your daughter needs to learn some respect for her elders. It seems, based on your reaction to her punishment and your behavior (laughing in their faces) toward the school authorities, you don't have any respect either. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I suggest you let your level-headed husband take over the discipline of your daughter. I also suggest she receive some tough love until she learns her place....that of a child. I agree with the old adage, "children should be seen and not heard"...I don't recall hearing of any such behavior of children who were raised on that adage. By the way I am a retired (35 years) elementary school teacher. If any of my students spoke to and behaved toward me in that manner, not only would she be suspended but she would not be allowed back in my classroom unless a rigid prescriptive plan of behavior modification was established.

I'm not a psychologist but I suspect that, through her outrageous, inappropriate and unnacceptable behavior, she is crying out for help.
