What do your behavioral management strategies look like?

1. What plan do you have for discipline? 2. How do you motivate students? 3. How do you involve parents and enlist their support? 4. Have you ever had a challenging student; what did you do to monitor their behavior?

Thank you! Sara, Great advice for this novice teacher. No systems of management can have better results in the classroom than creating engaging and meaningful activities and lessons for students. Work to improve yourself as a teacher and the rest will follow. I also agree about expectations for perfect behavior being unfair and counterproductive. Children are there to learn. Even adults cannot self-regulate all the time. Students must know that you are on their side and want to help them do their best. It sounds like you have a great relationship with your students.

Sharayah- take this wonderful advice to heart!Be proactive and intentional in all you do!
