My students are far more in need of grammatical conventions and literary enlightenment than instructions in accountable talk and film angles.
Perhaps the best part is the total lack of differentiation as no one has yet been able to explain to me why I have special-needs 7th graders who read on a first grade level "studying" from a textbook designed to prepare them for AP coursework.
