Article for Educational Journal

I have been asked to write an article for a national classical journal on the use of classics in high school and college classes. I wonder how many high school and college teachers teach the older classics (Plato, Aristotle, Homer, Sophocles, Kant, etc.) and, if you do teach them why do you and if you don't, why not. The question in need of an answer is "Why Classics," or "Why Not Classics?" What challenges do you (or other teacher that you know of run into in teaching the classics to students today? There may be follow up questions and if you are quoted in the article, I will reference or not, as you choose. Thank you in advance. (March deadline.)
