Teaching Jobs on Teachers.Net

I am a writer of novel study guides and I have exhasuted all the usual classic novels that teachers use in classrooms. I am looking for new titles, but with the overwhelming number of choices, I am trying to narrow down the list of books.

What novels do you currently use, or would like to use, for which you are having difficulty finding teacher resource material?

Sheila I teach one class of 8th grade Reading/Literature, and have no materials with which to teach "Flipped" by Wendelin Van Draanen. Anything would be of help.

MissMaestra I second the mention of The Westing Game. I had no say in the books my school ordered, and I'm lost on that one.

Also, we've a new book called Kira, Kira.

Many of the books we have are classics that have lesson plans, but are so classic that the activities suggested are a bit old-fashioned. You could work at it from that angle. ...See More
