I teach grade 9 math and informatics in Vietnam. For students who struggle with elimination (sign errors when multiplying by a negative number), I've been using a more explicit step-by-step framing: pick a factor h, substitute the whole left side of one equation, and use a fixed phrase ("borrow positive, return negative") to track the correction term. It's mathematically the same as elimination / Cramer's rule — I'm not claiming new math, just a different way of presenting the same steps. Full write-up (Vietnamese, CC BY 4.0) on Zenodo: 10.5281/zenodo.23506161. Would love feedback from teachers.
