And about one side or the other not hating, what do you call tagging everyone who opposes you with "You don't champion pedophiles or the nazis." You have taken on the argument of the most extreme and declared it as the thinking of all. Some just see the destruction of history as a kin to book burning. Not to say the statues cannot be removed, but there must be some middle ground.

And about "Choices like that are why Trump will never have an approval above 40%, and the nation will never be united while he remains in office." I am not a Trump fan - I hate is policies. However, if you take the time to listen to what the president said you find he first denounced racism and more. Then he went on to say both sides bear some responsibility for the violence.

For example, Adele M. Stan starts her article "White Supremacist Chaos In Charlottesville Is Just the Beginning" with this:

Everyone should remember that the establishment - that is, the democrats, republicans, the deep state, and their news media are all against the President and some would like to see him removed. President Trump is in a situation where whatever he does is wrong, and if it is not, they will find something wrong. Yet, if a president you do not like can be removed; a president you like can also be removed.

Or more critically, statements like "the nation will never be united while he remains in office" are a direct attack on the democracy and elections of this country. There was a time when people said after an election, "Well, I don't like the guy, but now he is our president." Those days are gone, and with it civility!

Maybe we should be asking, who is stirring this up? I mean, who is behind this drive to get Americans to hate one another. Yes, both sides hate the other and it is likely that someone is financing these groups. And finally, this whole meaningless fight is distracting us from what?

Maybe the truth is, the people and their hate are being played like a fiddle!
