I have a child in my classroom who has just turned 3. He is very intelligent, but he has very defiant behavior. After speaking with another teacher, she thought his behavior was perhaps due to the child not having a positive male role model in his life. Nothing seems to phase this kid. I put him in time out, and he laughed at me! I would be open to any suggestions. I am running out of options (and patience). Thanks! :)

And in related news, the sun rose this morning. :-D Seriously, maybe he's just not ready for preschool? If he's disrupting the day for the other children, it might be worth taking the issue up with your administrators. Could be time to send Little Man back home where he came from so the parents can solve the discipline problem or find another place to put him during the day.
