This Great Recession is finally hitting our school pretty hard, and most of us will be reduced to 80% next year. However, there's no way to ensure that teachers' classes are "chunked" so that one can either arrive a bit later or leave a bit earlier. I've been wondering, then, if it's truly possibly to use that extra 20% that I'll be at school without getting paid to get my scoring done (I teach English, so there's LOTS of it) and not get sucked into other things like meetings, extra duties, etc. I've heard so many people say that when they went down to 80%, they still ended up putting in the time of someone 100%, so they were doing the same of work for less pay.

Anyone here have this experience? Thanks!

I'm not sure how the other teachers who got reduced ...See More
