split pea or lentil soup
I use the ham bone to make either split pea or lentil soup. I just follow the recipe on the package of dry beans and it's yummy. If you don't want to make the soup now, you can freeze the ham bone for later

Make some beans and use the bones to sit in the crock to flavor them.
