I'll be teaching high school remedial reading next year in an inclusion class using SRA Corrective Reading. I believe the majority of my students will have IEPs. I don't know the specific needs of my individual students yet, but I'm seeking any advice you may have. I'm a little nervous since I've only taught grade level English in the past. I'Ve also been told many of my students will have behavior issues (I understand that can come from being a high school student who is reading far below level, or also can be a part of a disability.) I'm looking for ideas on structuring the class, what to expect, how to handle behavior.
