I have heard that the DRA has been updated recently. Does anyone have any info or website about this? My RTI committee is looking for assessments to help measure progress in reading comprehension. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Thanks!

We use Fountas and Pinnell BEnchmark .. Assessment Systems, K-2 and 3-8. It is very comprehensive, with fluency, miscue analysis, comprehension and even has a reading response component. It is like the DRA but better stories that are in full color. We use it twice a year.

Sid Aimsweb and Dibels are useless. We used them at my school and they gave no useful info. We are now sticking with the DRA.

Too bad the results (Dibels) are meaning less and worth less. But hey, if you think the numbers look pretty, more power to you. >>>
