Anyone have any ideas on how to get creative with World War I lectures and materials? I've seen some teachers recreate the trenches of the battle field by requiring students to sit on the floor, turn the desks upside down, and simulate being on a battlefield. However, I feel that a lot of teachers are starting to do such an activity. I was looking for a new way to not only get students engaged in the content of the lesson, but a new way to portray it? Since there is so much information in a unit involving World War I or World War II, something like a Power Point or an overhead projector. I want to be able for the students to be exposed to as much as information as possible (fitting inside the realm of the standards) while still being able to have fun learning. World War I can be an incredibly complex unit, often turning students off because of such of a vast amount of information from so many different countries. Thanks for your help!!!
