One more question: If a student requests that all of the test be read to them, and the accommodation is approved, who provides that accommodation? In my school, the case manager tests the student. Is there another way to do it?

I was wondering how your school handles requests for ACT and SAT accommodations. In my current school (I'm new this year) it seems that special education teachers/case managers submit the requests to the college board. At my old school, I wasn't directly involved with the process. How is this done at your school? Thanks.
buffyIn my school the special education teachers/case managers submit the requests to the college board. Our school psychologist is overworked just keeping up with manifestations, REDS/MEEGS and 504's. I can't imagine her even attempting to keep up with SAT/ACT testing accommodations. I imagine it depends on the size of the school.

Case managers complete the ACT sheet, provide documentation of the disability, and the SPED administrator sends in the documentation after reviewing all paperwork. Then, we wait for the approved accommodations.
