In Teachers.Net Gazette there are 2 piggyback songs for the 100th day of school. Your students will be able to learn them quickly and easily due to the familiar tunes! Take a look, then please do share the link!
I'm looking for your help in developing shareable content for fun projects that you've done for the 100th day of school. I'm making a top-10 blog post on the topic, similar to this Christmas Decoration post: http://www.ideasforclass.com/christmas-classroom- decorations/

If you have...See MoreElizabeth -- love this idea! How did it work out? I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but I thought I'd contribute if you still need help.

Hi! Oh, my, we're getting closer to those 100 days of school and it's time to start planning! I'm a first year teacher and I've never had the opportunity to be a part of a 100 days celebration. I would like to know what you do to make this a special day. Do you plan a party at the end of the day or is it an all-day event? I teach 1/2 grade. Thank you!
I teach Kindergarten and was looking for some new ideas for our 100th day of school. I found the great idea of sending and recieving 100 postcards but think I may have started too late, but we will give it a try. I also found a great site with hundreds of ideas, some of them do repeat but I did get some great ideas. Try it and see what you can find.

I hope this helped a little. Have fun!!

*We string 100 fruit loops on plastic string * Make a snack by placing 10 of each of 10 items in a plastic bag (10 peanuts, 10 marshmallows, 10 raisins, 10 pretzles, 10 m&m's; 10 cheerios, 10 chex, 10 chocolate chips, 10 peanut butter chips, & 10 gold fish) *Bring in a collection of 100 items. Exchange collections and count to see if the collection has exactly 100, more than 100, or less than 100. Graph accordingly. *make a headband with 100 fingerprints *sequence a hundreds grid that has been cut into strips. 1-10; 11-20; 21-30 etc. *A fun cake is to take one cake recipe and split it between a square pan and two round pans. Cut the square pan in half to make a one. Place the one with the two zeros to make 100 and frost. Decorate with 100 m&m's. *I make a huge 100 from bulletin board paper. I cut out the middle from the first zero and place it over my doorway. The children climb through it on our special day. *We dress up like 100 year old ladies to surpise the children. *The next day everyone dresses up like dalmatians for 101 Dalmatians except one of the teachers. She dresses up like Cruella DeVil! We make headbands with five ears layered on top of each other on each side. Each ear has 10 spots except one that has 11 for a total of 101.
