I have found very little in the way of help with setting up centers for a middle school Language Arts class. This summer, I intend to create some for use with and without the aid of technology. All students have laptops at our school, but I am finding that it is a cause of mischief among many. With this in mind, I want to create more hand- on/kinesthetic opportunities in my classroom that are age- appropriate. Can someone give me some help with centers for 13 year olds? I would appreciate it. Thank you!
Becky When I taught middle school language I made a: Writing Center - I had large cut-outs of various shapes (skate, tree, bear, etc.) The students could go there, pick a shape, cut it out of construction paper and then cut the same shape out of paper.
