Oceans have always been a source of nourishment
For the survival of life on Earth-
Since the dawn of recorded history,
And civilization followed by sadness and mirth!
Trade and commerce, adventure and discovery,
Have been served by the oceans too well-
And we are convinced that life arose from the oceans
While our thoughts started to swell!

Climate and weather along with the air we breathe
Depend largely on the oceans’ motion-
And the interplay continues between ocean and
Atmosphere to set weathermen’s notion!
The oceans covering 72% of the Earth’s surface
Are the major sources for global food-
While they keep the people apart, and bring them together,
To set an adventurous mood!

With their enormity and tranquility, the oceans
Have remained as a real mystery...See More
