In an era when genetics did not exist,
All life was a single animal to roam over the Earth-
And this only theory was first proved by Saint-Hilaire**
To create the researchers’ mirth!
Our knowledge of human genome and those of
Other species have been brought to light-
And without set back, scientists have concluded
That Saint-Hilaire’s ‘assertion’ was right!

All species share same genetic codes
And bring issues of “Humanism” to dissecting table-
’Cause man is the God-delegated super being
To inherit the Earth and write his own fable!
May I ask questions that flock my mind today
To keep me awake with despair and hope?
Is man only the most advanced animal on Earth
To domain on other creatures and cope?
Is man the remaining species of humanoids
