Earth Day is traditionally celebrated in the U.S. on April
22. If you need activities and themes for your celebration,
visit The Imagination Factory, an art/reuse and recycling
site for kids, parents, and teachers.
The site integrates art with science and social studies to
teach solid waste management concepts in a fun and
entertaining way.
Be sure to see the Education Department for a discussion of
landfills, and don't miss the site's mascot, Trashasaurus
Rex. The beast is made almost entirely of postconsumer solid
waste. There are lots of links to good environmental sites
in the Research Department, too.
