Four Green Steps Environmental School Program

As a teacher, you know that environmental awareness and education is rapidly becoming a necessity in any school curriculum. Climate change, alternative energy, and sustainability, are but a few examples of subjects students must know and understand. For this reason, we have developed adaptable assignments that will teach students about the environment in a creative and interactive manner.

The Four Green Steps school program is designed to educate primary and secondary school students about important environmental concepts and relevant issues, while fostering a sense of community with students all over the world. Students from across the globe will be completing the same assignments, sharing their work, and competing together. The competitions will afford students the opportunity to win prizes for their schools, such as solar panels, wind energy generators, video cameras, and art supplies, while being recognized individually for their outstanding work.

With at least one activity for every educational level, the Four Green Steps school program will allow students to develop, over time, an understanding of the interconnectedness of Earth, nature, science, and the human community.

Based in Montreal, Canada, Four Green Steps is a comprehensive, multipurpose organization dedicated to bringing awareness and solutions to our shared environmental problems. Utilizing the power of the internet, we have created an interactive network comprised of four steps: school program, community, info zone, and marketplace. Through the school program, we hope to teach a generation of students who will not only have a keen understanding of environmental issues, but who will also have the capacity to address related changes.
