California History trip success stories

Hello all!

As a provider of curriculum based student travel, I am a frequent visitor to this chatboard. We are wrapping up our 2011 tour season and I wanted to take the opportunity to share some success stories that may help some of you stay motivated to continue to offer these opportunities to your students.

In 2011, we have provided 1 and 2 day Sacramento and Gold Country tours to over 1000 California students from Title 1 schools that had never traveled before. This success was due, in large part, to having the advantage of working with very dedicated and focused teachers that understand the value of field studies. That, combined with creative fundraising programs, grants and community support made these trips a reality for many students that would never have the opportunity, otherwise.
