While many schools and small non-profits can't afford to hire a grant writer, they can still benefit from professional editing. A vivid, polished, professionally edited narrative can make a grant application shine during the rigorous review process!
My plan is to offer services ranging from basic editing/polishing (tier 1) up to full grant review, editing, fact checking and suggestions (tier 3.) Tier 3 would of course involve a higher cost and be based on project complexity and grant word count.
I would appreciate feedback as I finalize my business model. Is this a service you believe school administrators and/or PTAs/PTOs would consider utilizing if fees were nominal?

The fee to be charged could be a percentage of the grant sought and dependent on its approval and release.

Our school needs additional personnel in classes for learning disabled students, this would include paper work associated with learning disabled students.
I need a portable amplification device (large speaker with a wireless headset) to teach in my large general music class room as well as a 100 student chorus in the lunch room. Many grants I've researched are only granted when the students are directly using the equipment. Any advice on where I should look to pursue this type of grant?
Do you mind calling or emailing me with information on how you found funding? I am in the process of opening a Drop-in style Child Care Facility, but I am running into some financial difficulty.

I have the opportunity to apply for a $500 mini grant for an elementary classroom. I would love to do some type of hands on project with my students. Does anyone have any ideas? It would be for grade 2 or 5. I am open to any and all ideas. Thanks, Kat

There is a company called Student Treasures that will send you the materials. The kids write and illustrate the book, then you send it back to the company and bind it into hardcover books. The books are around $18 each. I've done this for 3 years now. It's a lot of work, but seeing their excitement makes it worth it.
