I'm interested in developing a project for my g/t student in which they set up a classroom economy; they'd use play money to pay wages for different classroom jobs/responsibilities and to pay bonuses, etc. The students would also use the money to pay for certain things, such as priveleges. I thought the g/t students could organize it; they could be in control of the "bank" and report to the class periodically using posters, transparencies, power points, etc. to explain the financial status of the class. Their presentations would include different types of graphs to show how the class is earning or spending their money.
It's been suggested that I use a rubric for grading purposes.
