I will be teaching high school World History class to
Native Americans next year. I'm wanting to do lots of
hands on projects, so I'm looking for ideas. In
particular, I'm wanting to focus on the concept
of "civilization" and what it takes to create a
civilization. I'm looking for a way to have a "Survivor"
type project going on in my classroom between groups of
students, where their planning and productivity in certain
aspects of "civilized life" determine the success of their
groups. Any ideas on how I could implement this? Has
anyone actually heard of this kind of project?
