Does anyone know if I could get a job as a media specialist without having a media specialist degree? Would taking and passing the certification test be enough? How likely would it be for me to get a position? I have over 10 years of teaching experience in the English/Language Arts (M.Ed. degree) field. Shouldn't there be some similarities to an extent? After all, they both relate to literacy, reading, etc... Just want to know. Thank you in advance for your response.
SpEd Teach I'm going to guess no. A masters degree is the minimum for a librarian, either in a public library or in a public school.
