I have heard conflicting reports as to if portfolios are necessary to bring to an interview. I assume it'd be a good idea, but should I have a physical one that can only be viewed during the interview or bring a digital one on a CD so it can be viewed at the convenience of the committee? Also, as a first year teacher, what should I put in my portfolio? I have been subbing for a few months, but don't have any student work to include. Any advice is much appreciated!!!
Michael Bring a physical portfolio. It was icing on the cake in my last interview. I said well I teach blah blah blah and oh, here let's take look at an example of what I'm talking about. Flip to section in portfolio. Boom. I am a teaching ninja.

Leave a digital one I guess. I'd just toss it in a pile and never look at it.
