Teach or Go back to my old job?

I am currently living in Chicago and will be receiving my certification to teach elem school later this year. I resigned from my job as an Administrative Mgr but my mgrs have made it clear that I can come back after student teaching. The deal is if I come back they would like me to stay a couple years while they grow their business. It is a very tempting offer since I keep hearing that Chicago Public Schools isnt hiring very many teachers. I like my old job but I also love education and would like to use my Masters degree in Teaching. I have no idea what to do? Any advice?

sandy I agree with "sped" completely. I have been looking for a teaching job for 1.5 years to no avail. If you have the opportunity to work somewhere, anywhere--do it! Working at a place you've worked at before is even better since you already know the job, people, environment, etc. The teaching field is incredibly unstable and difficult to find work in....See More

From what Ive been hearing I dont think it will be that easy. Yes, its Chicago but I also know a lot of displaced teachers looking for jobs.
