Hi, A few years ago as I was getting my teaching certification and ELL/bilingual certification through National-Louis and the IRC, I remember one of my professors told us about a place in the western or northwestern suburbs where you can donate materials (books, school supplies, any odds and ends for classroom use) AND you can also go there to search through the donations for your own classroom. You never know what they will have as it is based on the donations made at the time. You can take items for free or leave a donation. I even went there to get some things, but I haven't gone back since. I want to recommend the place to others, but for the life of me, I cannot remember the name of it or where it is located! =( I just recall there being a parking lot and an office building nearby (as if that's any help!) If you have any idea of the name of this place and where it is, please share!!!
