The Rep. legislature passed a bill to cut pay, kill all tenure and evaluate tchrs on the basis of test results of the children. No unions permitted by law....low pay...can be fired for any reason at any time. Forget the sunshine. This place is not where you want to be.
Lord, let that NOT be a trend! Hope it doesn't catch on to other states!

ann The same is happening in GA...10 unpaid furlough days, decreased pay next year and no union to back them up...also, state objectives must be orally stated as well as written on the board for the kids to write down...higher ups visiting rooms to make sure this is being done...

wait a minute!! did florida have a teahers union to begin with?? I thought they didn't, am I mistaken? Also, are you sure this bill was passed??
