As a certified teacher whose been looking for a position for the past FIVE years, only to sub and hold long-term positons to no avail, I am looking with hope this year at the retirements despite the economy. Are there any districts that are planning on replacing...

Ad in today's paper: 1 secondary sp. ed position, part time art (elem), and long time sub position (6-8 wks) Spanish. alpena district.
Sometimes the sub is so good, they hate to hire her/him into a position and want to keep them as a dependable sub! Not really fair.
