I was invited to do a phone interview for Memphis City Schools. I would like to know the good and bad points of teaching in Tennessee and Memphis.

Florida schools are going to be made all virtual for grades 7-12 within 10 years, and charter schools under the new govenor will make up 50% of all schools within 5 years.

What are your pensions like? Do you pay into Social Security? How are housing costs in the Memphis area?

I have relatives in Chatanooga and the Memphis area. I am serious about moving to the area.

I was told that my Texas and Florida Certificates were receprical and would be honored in Tennessee.

Please help.

Thanks.
