My core is really getting strong. I can really tell.
I enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding this morning. I woke up just as the brides mother got out of the car at the church. That cello musician was incredible. They had gorgeous weather just like when we were there for our daughter's wedding a couple summers ago. Who ever said it rains there all the time!
Taking it easy the rest of the weekend to rest my joints.
I chalked up 14,289 steps today on two walks and some gardening. The second walk was a solo spur-of-the-moment event. After 2 days of no sunshine, she appeared; I had to go outside and enjoy a bit of her. .
Judy, how fortunate that there are M & M's in your life. A great way to follow up your walk.
Men, you are the busy one today/Thursday. Don't those afternoon naps feel heavenly? I'll cross my fingers for a dry Saturday for you.
We were on the road yesterday--1 hour trip in the morning to have the radio replaced on the new car. Grrr. I comforted myself with a trip to Macy's. Bike ride in the evening with a walk between. 15,628 steps. Good stepping on Wednesday, too. I'm trying to compensate for the lean days.
I've done 2 walks by noon today, so I'm over my 10K. It's out to the garden after lunch. Finally. Slow planting with all the rain. Shrinking garden each year--ha!
I got my two "scooter walks" to school today, got in over 17 miles in spinning class and I finished ALL of my gardening this afternoon. I already had my soil prepared so putting in plants and seeds were easy. I got mine in between rains.
Tonight we have the youngest's piano recital to attend. I am hoping she can still fit in her flower girls dress from 2 summers ago. She's very tall, long limbed and slender so the dress should fit. Only three more school days for the youngest two and the teenager goes til Friday. Then it's time for summer fun!
Oh, I did weigh myself at the gym today for the first time in a long time. I had drunk two 32 oz of water the hour and a half before the weigh in and I still lost nine pounds since March. That was unexpected for sure.
Bless all those teens in Santa Fe and those fifth graders in New Jersey on the bus. So much tragedy this week.
Hugs to all and sad feelings fo...See MoreMy gosh, you gals are like a blur, such moving! great activities. Men, 9 pounds is a wonderful accomplishment. I was down almost 2# today at WW. Stress. judy, Love the M&M rewards. I have a bag stashed, when needed!
Elaine, you will soon need a new pair of shoes, with the steppin' you do!! :)
Hugs to all and sad feelings for the staff, students, parents, and families of Santa Fe and New Jersey. What heartbreaks for these schools and communities.
Trying to keep up with the stepping. today, so far, 8,507. By the end of the day, I should hit the 10,000. My goal. I see Elaine is being the over-achiever! Wonderful. One busy lady.
Skimming back I see your gals are keeping busy! Great job. I will return!! :)
I didn't do...See MoreAhhh, Bev, you are going through so much lately. I am glad to see you are still trying to take care of your own health. Judy, yep there's nothing more calming then m & m's. Did you ever see that movie Zootopia a few years back? I pictured you in that movie when they went to the DMV and the customer service reps were sloths.
I didn't do any official exercising today. This has just been an extremely busy week even though I am done with school. Today alone I walked the 8 year old to school bringing her scooter and helmet home. Then I scrubbed down and polished 2 wood shelves I am going to use in my classroom in the fall. Then we had to pick up the same child to take her out of town to start her ortho work at that specialist, came home and delivered the shelves to my room. That was definitely exercise! After running to the atm, I took a short nap before taking the scooter and helmet back to pick up grand at school. (Second walk of the day), came home and gardened for 2 1/2 hours before picking up the oldest at Taekwando. I ended up taking a second nap after that. lol Tomorrow promises to be different but similar in busyness. I am looking forward to getting back on my bike Saturday to relax! Of course now they are predicting rain. Maybe I'll watch the royal wedding instead.
I didn't get into ancohort with my county because so many people applied. So I decided to go at alone. I submitted component 3 . My question is can I go ahead and register for component 1 or do I have to wait for the window to open back up?
