Spent the day yesterday walking through the museum with the grandkids so got plenty of exercise there.
Hope to get a solo ride in early tomorrow AM before the heat bears down.
Nice to see Bev reporting in. That bike with the disc does sound like a spinning bike. I have never had migraines but I have seen how awful they can be to people. I remember my husband's aunt would lie in a dark room for days she was in so much pain. I used to get bad headaches for years through my teens and early 20's. I finally paid attention to possible triggers and mine were all food related. Chocolate is the only one left in the list and if I just don't eat the whole package at once, I can handle that - lol
The outdoor rides are much more challenging to me then spinning classes. However, it is very obvious that the spinning classes helped me tremendously in riding the distances we do now. We are supposed to ride 20 miles this Saturday and the thought of that distance is scary to me although I know I can do it. 20 miles on my bike is just harder then pedaling on a bike that goes no where!
Is it possible to give the Exercise Roll Call their own board? Yes, it is quite an active board. Yes, it is an excellent board. Yes, exercise is a necessary evil (except for this week's heat and humidity). I would like to see this board return to teaching and teaching topics. Just an idea. Thanks!
I am still staying with DM at night, getting her dressed and fed in the mornings, lunch, and dinner time. I get away for pt workouts and walking in the mornings and home for a couple of hours in the afternoons. Hats off and a deep bow to all the caretakers out there!
I'm in NYC for 10 days. Loving everything the little guy says. When he fell off the curb today, he said, "Are you Ok?" Totally preempting his mom. I love NYC kid parks. The kids share toys and it's generally a big usually happy family.
11532 steps. We walk a lot here. No car. Still going to the Dollar Tree tonight. 30 more minutes of walking.
Migraine is still l...See MoreNo workout today...migraine early this morning and only had one of my migraine pills and it wasn't enough. I found some ibuprofen and had some coffee. Caffeine helps so much.
Once the migraine subsided, my son met me at the mechanic's to drop off my hubby's truck. After that we went to lunch and then came home.

I am excited about the opportunity to help the students, but this is only my second year teaching middle school (3rd overall) and I am unsure how to prepare for this position. I was wondering if any of you:
. Have any tips on how to be an effective ESL coordinator
. Want to share anything (tips or important nuts and bolts details) that might help a first-time ESL coordinator
. Have any book, curriculum or study material suggestions to help me get prepped for the job.
I am working on the field experience but during the summer its hard to observe a class when everyone is on a siesta break. I need 12 hours and a certified teacher to sign off any ideas?
