I put in another 2 1/2 hours of heavy duty gardening this morning at the school's nature center. I emptied two of the garbage cans of weeds and shrub trimmings and filled them back up with more of the same. I also cleaned out the shed and got that all organized. I got it all done before a thunderstorm hit.
Elaine/ret/INWhat is your school's nature center like? Wooded? Flowers? How wonderful of you to volunteer for its maintenance, Men.
We, too, had rain. I was rained on twice during my walk with full sun between. Neither was the sort of rain to wet the shoes, so it was fine. 11,640 steps today. The stitches are out! Yay!
judycaretWhat a good person you are, men. I'll bet your work is greatly appreciated.
Elaine, so glad you got the stitches out. Does it look okay?
I walked 11,000 steps in gorgeous weather this morning and went to the grocery store. Dinner is ready to go in the oven, the last load of laundry is in the dryer, and I'm glad to be at Tnet.
Please help me out by taking a quick, 5-7 minute survey related to your professional learning experiences in regards to data use in the classroom. I'm working on a study for my dissertation, and could really use any teacher's help in completing this. Thanks!
Aaah, summer - that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It's a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends.
Elaine, I loved living in Goshen those years. Our kids were almost 2 and 5 when we moved there so Goshen was where they grew up at. I used to go once a year to see old friends and hit Shipshewanna once a year but it's been years now. Our favorite festival was the Sunflower festival at wolf lake each fall. A lot of happy memories!
I refuse to try to post again because my posts have disappeared twice today already before I can even hit post. So frustrating and it happens way too often.
Men, that's cool that you lived in Goshen. We go there often. We enjoy the bike trails. I went to college there but have little campus interaction at this point in my life.
