Caregiver was late and I needed a ton of groceries (because weekday caregiver is on vacation all next week), so I only got to walk for an hour. Better than nothing.
I'm a little worried about my weight because I won't be able to walk next week and I'm downright terrible at housewalking. Fingers crossed.
Good for you, Men. You even had 2 sightings (I miss Steps and Shuffle). Cool that the cars backed up for the creatures. You're moving! We finished the rummage sale today--good sale, though I didn't work much. I did get some garden planted and some weeds pulled. I also walked 30 minutes and biked 15 miles. Using my iPhone as a pedometer is quite rewarding on a bike ride--15849 steps. I don't think so!

Oh, Bev, we've really had showers/downpours to work around during spring, 2017, haven't we? Hope your goal was achieved today.
9676 steps on the pedometer today, though there were a few more, since I didn't "wear' my phone this morning when I wore dressy clothes. I walked this afternoon, pausing for a few minutes under a tree to avoid the rain. Then, I did laps back and forth in front of the house because I knew it was really going to start in again. Tonight the sun came out, and DH and I took a short walk in the subdivision.
We had our first lake BBQ this afternoon/evening. It is very muddy there--squishy for the 20' by the lake shore. Oh, well, good food. Fun to reconnect with nieces and nephews we don't see often enough.

We saw 2 over 3 feet in length snapper turtles crossing roads very slowly. The cars were backed up both directions waiting to drive into Walmart for one of the turtles to cross a busy intersection.
Have a great holiday weekend and keep movin', everybody!
Boy, did I ever make the best use of my free time today! First I walked for 45 minutes then went to the produce store. Next I got a haircut followed by a great browse at TJMaxx where I found 2 Nike shirts for summer walks.
Mine was lovely, as well. I spent most of the day at the church rummage sale. That's a win-win for sure: we clean out our closets, customers find amazing buys, we make money (for an electric sign for the church), the leftovers go to an organization that helps families in housing crises. Smiles all around. (And, Gram found a few goodies for her Treasure Hunt prizes.)
Late afternoon DH and I drove the a neighboring town, bought grocers, and then took a short bike ride (7.5 miles, but it was half uphill--ha!). We don't like the terrain on this path, but we try to do one ride during phlox season. Biking on a path bordered on both sides by phlox. Pretty pretty pretty.
Dear Bob, please can you make it so that we can see how many posts are under each topic heading? It would save having to open topics again each time we log in to see if anything has been added. I know we can go to New Posts but I have the topic lists bookmarked now.
We were "reminded" that we are to dress professionally. If field day isn't cancelled (rained today but no rain in the forecast tomorrow) we can change (at school with all the kids in the building) for field day after our first hour activity. Apparently all the teachers are to just leave the kids on their own while we run to the ladies room to change clothes? I'm sure that won't be a problem at all.....
Why even schedule things like field day, if our biggest concern is that the teachers might wear something too casual on that day? Wouldn't want to see me in capris, a t-shirt and sneakers on field day. Nope. Skirt and heels it is.
I am just totally baffled as to what he is trying to say here!

It certainly doesn't sound as if he? she? has thought through the details--nor stopped to think about whether all teachers will read the email before getting to school.
Here's hoping for a fun field day--once the principal covers classes so the teacher can change!
KeithMaybe he was trying to imply no tank tops, exposed stomachs, extremely short shorts. Changing from pants to capris mid day should not take more than a minute or two and might have an assembly in the morning to allow time for teachers to change?
Drove my car to the shop @ 8:30, walked to my cycling class @ 9:15 from the shop, did 19 miles in the bike and walked home. Three hours total. Warm shower felt great after walking on a cool, damp morning.
Judy, great weigh-in. How do you use My Fitness Pal? Do you enter your food? Exercise? Apps? Community?
14,273 steps today: 2 walks and setting up the church rummage sale. Though I must confess that I spent a lot of time in my desk chair today as well. Always something to do "in the office."
I hope for a good rummage sale. We are certainly able to find junk in our attics. We aren't selling clothes or electronics this year, so it's all "stuff."
judycaretYes, I enter food (which is kind of a pain but keeps me honest) and exercise (minutes). It tells me how many calories I get daily. Really, I haven't been this skinny in 25 years.
