Pt workout this morning. DM went with me and enjoyed the attention from the other exercisers and the pt. He even took her for a walk. Only 6,483 steps for me.
Keep movin'!

My company has produced an educational animated video series designed for students internationally. The series is made up of seven short episodes (about three minutes long each). It intends to teach students about conducting social enterprises that pursue social impact (such as improving human and environmental well-being) while focusing on sustainable solutions to real world problems.
As part of an evaluation being conducted of the series, we need one teacher based in France with students in the 12-15 year old range who could show the brief episodes in their classroom and implement accompanying curriculum which we would provide. The teacher would be compensated.
If you are a teacher in France or know of one who may be interested in participating you can email me directly at [email removed].
If so, use your computer/laptop to join me from your sofa, your home office, or a coffee shop for a FREE one hour workshop on "Building academic language in social science, science, and other content areas". Walk away with a handful of strategies you can easily implement in your classroom.
What: Building Academic Language in Social Science, Science, and other content areas Date: Sunday, April 15, 2017 Time: 8:00-9:00PM
Space is limited. Gmail email address required. To reserve your spot, email: lindsay.k.[email removed]
Busy week ahead with the youngest dgd having her 7th birthday Thursday. It's hard to believe we have had her 7 years now. I think grandchildren grow up faster then our children. We are having her party at the zoo. She has never had one before with friends so she is excited.
I have never done tai chai either. We have had a huge Asian population here because of the university. They offer several of those types of classes with different names at the community center. Is tc the one where the people stand still at places like a pedestrian bridge and move their arms around in what seems like pre determined actions? Lots of focus involved.
I am in the final stretch for that job and have completed all the interviews and paperwork. Only my age on paper would be a reason not to be chosen. Most people have no clue to my age, but when they see when they read my college transcript and see when I graduated, they just have to do the math (or assume I was a child prophesy) The director is on vacation this week so he'll decide between us two then.
My dh found out last night he had mono of all things. I never heard of old men getting mono. I guess he won't be able to go out for the track team this spring.
Thanks for the D3 tip! nfmOn 3/28/17, Sorry your hubby has mono! wrote: > When our son had it we found out he was severely deficient > in Vitamin D3 so the doctor prescribed high doses (we had > to ask for the test and prescription!!). I really don't know much about the philosophy of Tai Chi. I miss the "on the mat" poses from yoga. The video we do is all on our feet. And, yes, there are specific ways to hold the hands. My philosophy of "exercise" is that it must be something that I want to do and something that I feel better when I finish. I'm not into suffering, though I admire those of you who are. ;)
> Ela...See MoreI've seen pix of people in weird poses...what is tai chi supposed to do? It doesn't look that hard or like a good workout so I am curious about what it does for a person!

Elaine/ret/INI've done a Tai Chi class a few years ago, and this is a video session at the local library. I like its slow relaxing pace, and I like the stretching. I don't know anything about the philosophy or its ideas.
Pt workout this morning. DM went with me and enjoyed the attention from the other exercisers and the pt. He even took her for a walk. Only 6,483 steps for me.
