Excited about warmer temps on the way by the weekend. The daffodils are seeing the results of the cold snap so I hope the tulips don't have to face the same challenges.
I attended a parent workshop last night at our middle grandchild's school that was excellent. It was put on by the state police on internet safety. OMG, it's scarier then I was imagining. I am going to join the parent group hoping to have the kids' version put at school. Very valuable information provided. Lots of naive parents in attendance. Do all states offer such programs I wonder?
Bev, busy day for you. Sorry that it had to include a funeral.
Judy, solitude is way under-rated. Even in exercise.
I didn't quite break 10K today: 9413. When I walk in the library, we don't get as many steps in. I did my usual 30 minutes and two extra mini-walks. My pedometer still didn't add up.
men, good work on getting in the exercise before the interview. Hope it went well. If you told what it was for, I missed it.
Funeral attended this morning then lunch with friend at Applebees. No exercise for me, yet. I will be getting on the treadmill later this afternoon. Walk on.....

This is not a scenario but a very real, very stressful situation. Not only is she "that" parent, obviously there is no backing from admin and she has the power to make everyone stand on their head so that the child can get his/her way.
Since the oak pollen is still so high and it is not my friend, I did 15 minutes on the treadmill before I couldn't take it any more. I did my strength training before the cardio and that went well and I didn't dawdle at all.
Before the gym, I helped my mom pot some new plants (gardenia, geraniums, mint). Since we live in deer country, we grow plants in pots on the back patio and deck. I also hosed down the patio and deck and the water turned yellow from all the oak pollen.
Now I am monitoring my barn swallows and I used the first deterrent this morning. I have seen them come into the front porch area, but I don't see any nest building so far. Hope that encourages them to find a new location.
JRod, lucky you to have outside work weather. And to keep moving even when the lungs were uncooperative.
Cool day today. Winter coat and hat for sure. But beautiful sunshine. I had over 13,000 steps. The usual walking routine + 3 grocery stores: Kroger, salvage, and Amish bulk food. What a various life we lead in the rural Midwest. Ha.
Lady sort of over played her hand and started leaving her bed and sleeping on Brin's much less nice bed. For weeks/ months Brin just went to sit and sleep on a thin mat under a window, Then, Brin started sleeping on Lady's bed when Lady left it. Lady used to come to us with a "She's on MY bed!" look. We ignored her. She stays on her own bed more now.
Now. Brin just ignores her, too, even when Lady walks on her bed to waken Brin who often pretends to be sleeping.
