Sorry for the long post...I keep on replaying that moment in my head, and just wanted to get it out in writing because it made me feel very defeated today!

Hi All, I live in California and teach third grade at a Catholic School. I am 53. I'm wanting to make a move to Nashville but don't know what the likelihood would be to get a teaching position. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. I adore teaching! Thank you, Durya132
BentoBethI can;t find the article now (of course) but I came across a story the other day about a huge need for teachers in Rutherford County, TN which is close to Nashville. Great public schools and I believe a signing bonus! Good luck with your move!

<h3><font color=purple>It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade.
Still cold around here, but it's been raining on and off since last night. Beats the 4" of snow we got Monday. I had my face to face interview today for that part time job I am interested in. I passed that on line assessment to earn this interview. I hadn't done algebra problems in almost 50 years. I was surprised at how much I remembered.
Now it's time to watch some ncaa basketball. Both of our teams won their first games.
judycaret Wow, men, compliments! I did get a compliment from a woman even older than me in my oldies' exercise class. She said I have a straight back. Hahaha.
I walked at least 9,000 steps each day yesterday and today. Still maintaining weight okay.
Added a PowerPoint for Ireland St. Patrick's day. Might be useful for some teachers for March 17th and save yourself some time. Check it out at http://www.easyclassideas.com. Please leave a comment or share it if you like. Thx Gerard.
Irish Gaelic errors: Slide 19: -Éire Slide 20: -conás atá tú -'Tá me' is Taim -Cád -Slán
Facts: - Many in Ireland do not celebrate Saint Patrick as is done in the US, any festivities that takes place is likely for the enjoyment of the visitors and not the Irish. Their celebration of Saint Patrick is more akin to how any Catholic Saint is honored on their day. - The snakes being lead to the sea is a fable, you may wish to share that with the students. -Irish is not a language, Irish Gaelic is the language.
You may wish to include the poem Mise Éire: http:// ireland-calling.com /mise-eire/

Thanks for pointing out the mistakes I made on the PowerPoint. I have changed the problems you pointed out. I appreciate the time you took to write a message to me.
