Hello! I'm taking my 19 y/o daughter to the airport tomorrow. I haven't been to an airport in about 25 years, and that was with a group. I have a question about how far I can go into the airport (LAX, United) with her as a non-flier. Thanks!

I think Since she's 19, as far as the beginning of the security line is as far as you are getting to get. You'll be able to stay with her while she checks her bag and gets her boarding pass (if she hasn't already printed it at home).

She can call you when she's at the gate to let you know that she found it and is ready to board.

Lulu Unless she's disabled you won't be able to get a gate pass, but don't worry, she'll be fine. If she's not sure where she's going she can always ask someone. Security, gate agents, flight attendants, other passengers-lots of people are willing to help. Flacka Lulu had some great advice and I'm sure she will be fine. One thing I would add is to check the monitor and confirm that the gate on the boarding pass is the correct gate. Sometimes they change the gate and she doesn't want to have to go running thru the airport to the gate. If she leaves the gate area to get something to eat or used the restroom, ...See More
