Many many moons ago, WAG was a regular here on Tnet. Teachers had their classes graphing the results from around the world and it was always an interesting read.

Now, I'm not for one moment suggesting that it become a thing again, but I couldn't think of a better heading for my post than that.

Today, we had 45 degrees ... Celcius. That's 113F. It's evening here and 10 minutes ago, at 7:30pm, it was still 40.9 and felt like 41.8.

Surprisingly, my house has held up extremely well under the onslaught, which follows a similar but smaller one just two days ago. The cooler day in the middle gave the house a chance to cool down. It won't have the same chance tonight as it won't get below 26 (that's not much under 80F) and we could be in for a broken night's sleep.

Cooler tomorrow, only 38, so that's 100F - positively fresh compared to today. ;-D I'll do my 5km run in the morning and be in the cool before it heats up too much.

Flacka We had some unusual weather yesterday too, though not as hot or as dramatic as Alison/Aus.

Our temps in Jan are normally in the 40s but yesterday the high was near 70 so uncovered our grill and grilled our dinner! By tomorrow our high will be in the 30s with a "wintery mix" in the forecast.
