Teachers Are Not Perfect

As I said in my LGBT+ post, I am a 13 year-old 7th grader at HMS in Georgia who came out as a lesbian and took a survey. I got responses back and have two homophobic teachers. Well today I was told -by my teacher- to kill myself and that I should not exist due to my being lesbian. I was preached about the bible -again by my teacher- in my non-christian school. I am not christian and I have depression, epilepsy, social anxiety. I already tried to kill myself and was just getting better mentally when this happened. My mother wants to sue. Is it possible to win? Is it even right to sue my teacher for this? I mean, she pointed to a bible and preached to a non-christian student in a non-christian school. I am needing help about a teacher, from a teacher. Even my lawyer has no idea. Please help me.

get out of Georgia As was stated before it depends on your goals. Do you want to be the sacrificial victim on the altar of bigotry? That teacher was way out of line and if you can prove she said that you have a slam dunk case, and any lawyer who doesn't know that is not worth 25 cents. She should not be teaching any child period.
