I hope you are well. I am a broadcast journalist at the BBC. I have been investigating teacher vacancies in deprived areas and there appears to be a link between deprivation and higher vacancy rates. I would like to speak to a teacher, either working or a former teacher, from a school in a deprived area and interview them about their experiences - whether they recognise some of the issues being raised by unions of excessive workload, low morale and difficulties recruiting and retaining teachers in their school and any challenges that are specific to a school in a more deprived area.
