I wanted to go to the next town over (outlet malls and university town) to walk their dam trails. They forecast thunderstorms so I stayed in the hood. My mother is still at my sister's house so I decided to take the dog on my walk. He's a Brussels Griffon so he can't walk too long. By mile 3, he looked at me and let me know he was done. The weather was cool and the wind was a bit gusty but dog just couldn't go any further. He took the path back to the car. I gave him water and then we came home. When I looked at my fitbit, I was at 8,000+ steps so I had to finish my steps by walking laps in my house!
Now, the house is really quiet (just me and dog) and he's resting quietly at my feet. I do enjoy my alone time but miss my mother.
