It means that you are on a list as a candidate for a specific position. A principal will generally use that list to select around 5 people to interview. So, an email or phone call for an email may be next (or nothing may be next).
IcanreadLindaloo, read the post called Referral List from March 4th. The comments have more info regarding receiving calls for interviews. I'd recommend answering all calls (which is what I plan to do, except when I'm teaching!)
Apparently I can't comment today. I figured that was the case but I was curious because in my state, a teacher working outside her content area has three years to certify in that area.
One of my references said she filled out the reference check a few weeks ago and then just got a second one from DODEA that said something like "2nd check"...not sure what the exact wording was, as she was not clear in describing it. Has anyone else heard of this happening. Does it mean that perhaps you made a referral list or something?
hahaI'm not familiar with that. The fact that you just submitted the reference a few weeks ago makes it seem more like an application thing then something for an actual opening (but anything is possible with DoDDS).
EuxpatBefore I was hired, they checked my listed references and then went beyond the listed ones and contacted other people I worked with. So my experience is they will go deeper if they are interested in you. This was for an initial hire with DDESS.
