I have an interview for an ECSE position in Japan with DODEA on Tuesday evening. I have never interviewed before and I was wondering if anyone had any tips that may help me? Any support is appreciated.
Anyone know if there is a quick well quicker way to get a visa? Where do I start in this process? Also, once I have my travel orders and I start the visa process is there anything else I need to do before I can PCS?
hahaCongrats on the position and location. The downside of the UK is that yes, you do need the visa and I had heard it was a pain and expensive. Sorry no words of wisdom on the subject.
kgteachHi, the district area where I will be working is a 4 hour drive from my current residence. I got an offer in the Americas Southeast District. My formal offer letter stated that relocation costs will not be funded by DODEA. Richmond Hill is a very nice area. You should also look in the Savannah area as well.
I will be moving from Fort Bragg to Fort Knox. I accepted the full-time school psychologist position there. They have not had a school psychologist this school-year, so I need to go as soon as possible. This means my position should be listed soon if any of you are qualified and want to move to NC.
Could this mean that there is an opening and that DoDDS is looking for someone to fill a position in my field that I've applied for? I've not received anything from EASS since they sent the update e-mail request this past January. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like this happening. Or could it be for a temporary opening (like maternity leave of a teacher) as I indicated that I'd consider a temporary position. Thank for any insights.
uh89Thanks Mary-Lorraine. But I notice that those jobs don't grant SOFA status as at least the ones for the Pacific state that they are for spouses or other family members of others who already have SOFA status and are not open to those of us who do not have it. I appreciate your listing of the link just the same.
HelpOthersThe SOFA status depends on the position. Yes for substitutes, etc., but Nurse, teacher, administrator, etc., mention the relocation benefit, etc.
Niknak were in Japan are you headed? OK I'm a little curious about the passport. When I called for an update on my check some of my documents have been misplaces.... I haven't sent my passport in and I was wondering if any of you have had misplaced items and lost passports....
Also, I just received my eqip yesterday. About how long after I submit that will I get a start date? They said I have 14 days to do it but it won't take that long and if I do take that long I'd turn it in the day the teachers start there.
samanthaIm going overseas, but I'm supposed to receive my start date on Monday the 17th, which will be 2 months after I started the process and accepted the position.
