Hi!
If there's a little red asterisk next to the state teaching certificate and official transcripts, does that mean it uploaded correctly? I've had trouble in the past not clicking something correctly or something.

That usually happens when you qualifications need to be evaluated. Do you have areas that you are yet to be determined qualified?

Good question. I don't know what the asterisk means. I have one next to "official transcripts."

The only documents I reload every year are my 5 state licenses, my college transcripts, and my PRAXIS scoresheet. That ended up being my only referral for the year and it was a part-time job :(

I would even go so far as to say that you should re-upload them on a monthly basis. Try it for a few months and see if it triggers more referrals.

Open and scan one copy and keep an unopened official copy to have signed and uploaded later. If you are near s DoDEA school or HQ, they can open, verify as originals by signing that they were originals and scan and send copies to you.

On the FAQ page, it states: Can I upload a copy of my official transrcpts? Answer We require copies of all official transrcpts. We do not accept e-transrcpts or unofficial transrcpts.

DoDEA is charged more for the rotator than what they pay for most commercial flights, so they prefer you not fly the rotator. If a military travel office is booking, they may not realize this.

@Mary they didn't make me take the rotator. He asked me if I wanted to and I said no so he just looked for commerical options. The Sato office here in Germany s making arrangements for my girls, myself, and my parents. I just have to pay for the other tickets. Interviews vary depending on the principal. When I interviewed for a position in Spain, the principal suggested some different times and then asked for some options from me if his didn't work. I went in to update my DODEA application for the year and it looked as if it was already completed? Are they not making us refill it out every year now? Or is it not time yet? Anyone know? Thanks.

I was told in a recent email from HR that everyone will become inactive at the end of February for the 20/21 school year. At that time we will need to update application and make ourselves active again!

Tour application looks the same, but the boxes won't be checked. Make sure to upload your certificate and transcripts again even if nothing has changed.

An internship is accepted, so likely employment verification with a reference from a mentor or evaluator would suffice.

I've heard that ISS is easier to land a job with. Are there actual k-12 teaching jobs in ISS or USA Jobs? I feel like I understand okay the Dod eas system but I'm in the dark on the others.

If that was the meaning, THAT ISS is just one recruitment agency for international schools. Search Associates is another (possibly better) one. It would generally be easier to get into an int'l school than with DoDEA, if for no other reason than there are many more school...See More

I agree with Snow Lane, even if your resume is 6 pages long. Make sure it supports all your answers to the qualifying questions.

Yes. Update soon. You could keep tour date available the same. If they don't find a candidate in the 19-20 pool, they will search the 20-21 pool of applications.
