Good morning,

I have a friend that is interested in earning her Masters in either education and/or educational counseling.

Two questions:

1. What is an inexpensive program for her (cost is an issue).

2. Since she already has a BA in education, we know that she complete a "quicker" program to get her MA in Education. But what about Counseling? Does having her BA in Education put her on a faster track to getting a MA in Educational Counseling, or would it be the same as someone not already in the field (ie business person, etc.)?

Thanks in advance for all your responses!

Phil The #1 reason for getting the degree is the $5,000+ extra that Washington state pays for having it.

But she may want to leave the classroom to pursue counseling in the school.
