I am about to be certified in secondary social studies and will be looking for a job when I am done with my student teaching after this fall. I am not tied to any area in the United States and am willing to go anywhere and look anywhere for a teaching position.
In your opinion, what are the top ten states to teach in? (If you can't think of ten, just your top states then)

Secondary social studies is a tough area in which to find a job. California and New York are going to be hard to find a job, especially if you are coming form out of state since you will need to take tests and addition workshops or classes to get a license or cert in those states.
